 2/23/22 Session 1: Know your rights

Get familiar with the two main special education laws that impact you and your child: Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

3/30/22 session 2: Introduction to Self-advocacy & the Medicine wheel speaker: Hoskie Benally Jr.

Recognize the concept of self-advocacy from a Native perspective and hear Mr. Benally’s personal journey about his disability and how the Medicine Wheel, a Navajo cultural framework is applied to the decision-making process.
