Diné, is originally from Tótá (Farmington), New Mexico. She is Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water Clan), born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan), her maternal grandparents are Tł’ízí daalchí’í (Red Goat Clan) and paternal grandparents are Ashįįhí (Salt Clan). 

Annette earned her law degree from University of South Dakota School of Law. Throughout her academic journey she had an affinity to assist Native American students in obtaining a college degree. She continues that affinity of helping Native Americans where she organizes the Law Center’s new site in Flagstaff, Arizona, and works in a team on designing and facilitating self-advocacy curriculum and facilitation.
