Diné, is originally from Deinehootso (Dennehotso), Arizona. She is Kinłichiiní (Redhouse Clan), born for Kinya’aani (Towering House Clan), her maternal grandparents are Bit’ahnii (Folded Arms Clan) and paternal grandparents are Ashiihí (Salt Clan).

Benita has over twenty years of experience in public health advocacy and is fluent in both English and Navajo. She is the Project Director for the Benefits Enrollment Center housed at the Law Center and works with VR Services and schools to reach young people with disabilities. Benita has been with the Law Center for seven years and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
